Anthropomorphism: the what and why of it all
Psychology behind it all:
Neuroscience has suggested that people use the same area of their brain when they process human behavior as when they process or think through how non-human entities act.
Anthopomorphism allows humans to think through, understand or make connections to the world around them in a way that makes sense to us. We understand human behavior (or at least pretend to) and so we look through the lens of human behavior and attribute it to events or objects around us to create understanding or relationanability.
Scaffolding: refers to a variety of techniques used to move individuals progressively toward stronger understanding and, ultimately, greater independence in the thinking, reasoning or learning process
Metacognition: awareness and understanding of one's own thought processes
