Senior Success
Our AHS chapter of the National Art Honor Society has grown considerably in the last three years. We grew from a small group of 45 students to almost 150 active members. Our students have donated their time to so many organizations around the city of Allen. They help arts programs and classrooms, engage with children, provide enrichment activities and participate in advocacy programs. They are passionate about art and they care about their city.
Over the last several years, our NAHS chapter has raised money to help deserving seniors continue their pursuit of art through continued education. Our NAHS Senior Scholarship is given to a senior who goes above and beyond both in our organization but also outside of our society. This year is no exception.
We are pleased to announce Danielle Bordelon as our 2017 NAHS Senior Scholarship recipient. Danielle has been voted our NAHS student president for two years in a row. She has faithfully lead and grown our program into a dedicated and thriving group of students. We are so very proud of her leadership and achievements but also look forward to her continued growth as an artist at the School of Visual Arts in New York City!
