RESEARCH.

Document your research and show your sources.

Show specific techniques: shading, color blending, digital work, drawing, painting

Research Artists: what specifically do you get from this artist.

Demonstrate growth.

It should take time. This is not possible to do the night before. Each page should be an hour of research (roughly).

What IWB is NOT:

-It's not a journal. This is for your research and your thoughts for research.

-It's not for "doodle dumps". Do you need to doodle? Get a second sketchbook. If something magical happens in that other sketchbook, cut it out and add it to your IWB along with annotations on how it ties in to your research.

-Don't tell me what you already know on every page. You can include what you know, but support it with research. Stretch yourself. Take that knowledge farther.
